Golubtsi with meat (stuffed cabbage rolls)

Very popular traditional dish. In Ukraine before the end of the nineteenth century stuffed golubtsi were cooked, usually with millet, less with buckwheat or corn grits, and in the second part of the twentieth century with rice and minced meat. To cook golubtsi they took cabbage fresh or pickled leaves (“petals”). Then they slightly fried golubtsi until they are done with sour-cream gravy.
